When ITD needed to make the statewide Governor’s Transportation Funding Conference a reality, the call came to The Langdon Group.

 

The task was daunting: hold task-force style meetings with accompanying public meetings at six locations throughout the state over a 2½ week timeframe. The planning time was short, the ultimate client had high expectations, the budget tight.

 

TLG took on the tasks that included: meeting site arrangements and room set-up; ordering meal and snack service; working with ITD staff to prepare backdrops that visually communicated safety and efficiency messages; creating room layout schematics; organizing a “dry-run” for the Governor’s staff review; preparing nametags, attendance lists, comment forms, sign-in sheets and directional signs; identifying materials that needed to be at each location meeting; and strategically thinking through the “what-ifs” with ITD staff. All the while, The Langdon Group disappeared into the background, but our team worked as an extension of the ITD Communications Office to make their meetings successful.
