Project Overview

I-15 CORE is the largest design-build project in U.S. history. UDOT is completely rebuilding Interstate 15 through much of Utah County. This is the highest-profile project currently underway for the Department. Given the project’s scope and the magnitude of its public impact, UDOT built a multi-firm team of experts to manage the tremendous public outreach effort. The Langdon Group was selected to fill two important roles on this team: first, to provide quality control and insight into outreach processes and activities as they are developed; second, to help this multi-firm team come together and become more efficient in accomplishing the project’s communications objectives. As part of the quality control role, TLG staff has assisted the Communications Team in strategizing team roles and responsibilities; defining the positions and working relationships of the on-the-ground public involvement coordinators (PICs); working closely with the CORE team and UDOT Consultant Services to procure the PICs; and strategizing PI and outreach processes as a continuing member of the Communications Team.
