This summer , The Langdon Group welcomed two new team members to their staff: Zoe Rogich and Andee DeVore. We asked Zoe and Andee some fun questions so we could get to know them a little bit more. Part 1 of this story was posted last week – get to know Zoe! Part 2 of this blog post features Andee’s responses to interview questions.

Q: Where are you from?
A: I’m originally from Wanship, Utah, but I grew up in sunny St. George, Utah, so I tend to call that my home.

Q: What is it about the world of public involvement that excites you?
A: The thing I love about conflict resolution is providing clients and stakeholders the opportunity to constructively solve their problems on their own. I really enjoy helping people learn how to look at an issue from someone else’s perspective and resolve issues based on that shift in mindset.

Q: If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with your extra time?
A: I would probably spend my extra time getting caught up on my ever-growing list of books to read, as well as taking photography and Spanish classes.

Q: If you could un-invent one thing, what would it be?
A: I would un-invent those ribbons that go on the inside of women’s shirts and blouses. You know, the ones that are meant to help the garment stay on a hanger, but instead just pop out and get in the way when the garment is worn? Those are the worst.

Q: What are you interested in that most people haven’t heard of or don’t know much about?
A: My husband and I have recently become interested in fly fishing. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert by any means, but I am slowly learning the ropes and it has been really fun.

Q: What is your favorite band/musical artist?
A: Who my favorite band or musical artist is totally depends on the day. Most days Foo Fighters is my favorite band, but other days it’s J. Boog or Nirvana.

Q: When you aren’t at work, what could someone find you doing?
A: I love to spend my free time going on runs with my dog, browsing for books at book stores, and going on hikes or traveling to distant places with my husband.

Q: If your friends were to describe you in three words, what would they be?
A: If my friends were to describe me in three words, I think/hope they would say I’m funny, kind, and curious.

Q: Where’s your favorite place in the world?
A: My favorite place in the world is Oxford University in England. I completed a short program there and fell in love with the history and culture of the campus. It truly is a magical place!

Q: If you had a slogan or quote for your life, what would it be?
A: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow; learn as if you were to live forever.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Q: If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
A: I think I would be the color red. Not only is it my favorite color, but it’s also the color I turn when I am out in the sun for too long.

Q: What was your all-time, best-ever Halloween costume?
A: Pocahontas! I was obsessed with her as a child, so I was super excited when I got to be her for Halloween, complete with a stuffed Meeko.
