At the request of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), TLG was hired to conduct a situational assessment of the BLM’s Greater Sage Grouse (GRSG) Conservation Management Plan efforts across the eight primary GRSG states (California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Wyoming). The findings and recommendations provided by the assessment will help inform development of BLM’s stakeholder engagement strategy to support GRSG implementation on-the-ground. The TLG team is working as a neutral third-party to conduct up to 100 telephone discussions with BLM state office employees and a diversity of stakeholders to assess the status, accomplishments, questions and concerns of the GRSG local working groups (LWG) and related, locally-based stakeholder efforts.
