The I-90/SH-41 IC is an interchange replacement and improvement project that is financed by ITD Transportation Expansion and Congestion Mitigation funds as part of Idaho’s “Leading Idaho” initiative. ITD and the team have implemented the principles of Construction Partnering (Partnering) on this complex, multi-year transportation project in Post Falls, ID. Partnering on this project has united ITD, the prime contractor, Scarsella Bros, Inc. (SBI), more than 20 subcontractors, and various stakeholders under a shared vision to successfully work toward completion of this significant infrastructure project within the estimated schedule and budget. The Langdon Group is pioneering partnering in North Idaho. They coordinate and facilitate large team kick-off meetings that set expectations and tone for the project, regular monthly check-ins with the project managers to keep a pulse on the partnership and provide insight on project dynamics, partnership celebrations that celebrate project wins, and season close-out meetings that help the team reflect on the intrapersonal and technical work of the project.
