Overview
J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. (J-U-B) was retained by the City of Reno to conduct formal dam inspections and create a Capital Improvement Plan for ten high-hazard dams maintained by the city. The goal was to assess the condition of these dams and develop a prioritized improvement plan, complete with estimated costs and timelines for necessary upgrades.
Comprehensive Inspection and Improvement Plan
The study involved field assessments of the ten dams, leading to the creation of detailed Field Inspection Reports for each structure. J-U-B also integrated findings from previous investigations to provide a comprehensive overview of the physical condition of the dams. The resulting Improvement Plan outlines a prioritized list of proposed improvements, offering the City of Reno a clear roadmap for dam infrastructure improvements over the next 10 years.
