TLG facilitated UDOT’s Mountain View Corridor (MVC) Air Working Group (AWG) for 11 years. The AWG was organized during the MVC environmental study as a multi-disciplinary forum for government agencies, experts and stakeholders with an interest in roadway-related air quality issues to collect and analyze air quality monitoring data and make recommendations for mitigation at schools adjacent the MVC corridor. TLG led collaborative partnering efforts between the AWG and Granite School District in the development of a Cooperative Agreement for mitigation implementation and supported public outreach to raise awareness about air quality and health impacts. The initiative fostered community collaboration and advanced understanding of the link between roadways and air quality.
