The Antelope Effluent Pipeline project that North Davis Sewer District (NDSD) initiated the development of a Nutrient Management Master Plan study in 2017 to define an effective and efficient strategy to meet current and other future potential regulatory requirements. The project itself was to construct a pipeline in conjunction to the large Antelope Island Causeway and was able to meet these standards once it was complete. Many visitors from all over the world come to see The Great Salt Lake, and the main entrance into the State Park is the causeway, which was directly impacted by this construction.
The Langdon Group (TLG) was selected by North Davis Sewer District (NDSD) and Whitaker Construction to be the communications arm and main point of contact for stakeholders and visitors into the well-known State Park of Antelope Island, during this Effluent Pipeline Project. During the project, TLG created and delivered hand-outs for the workers on the island to hand out to visitors, created signs with QR codes for visitors to access the website with more information and talked with stakeholders through the project. TLG created a project website with information regarding the Great Salt Lake, for those with concerns about what is happening by the Great Salt Lake. TLG also met weekly with the contractor, Whitaker Construction, to get project updates to send out emails and make phone calls to essential stakeholders.
