The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded the City of College Place, WA, funding through the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program. This funding supports the development of a comprehensive strategy to improve roadway safety and reduce fatalities and serious injuries.
The Langdon Group (TLG) led the public engagement process and coordinated with private sector partners, community organizations, and overlapping jurisdictions to align planning efforts. To achieve this, the team created a robust outreach plan that ensures meaningful participation throughout the project. Using a mix of in-person and virtual activities, TLG informed residents about the planning process and encouraged public involvement through multiple feedback methods and community events. Feedback from diverse community members helped shape an Action Plan that reflects local goals and values.
