In March 2015, The Langdon Group was selected by Salt Lake City to conduct a broad and inclusive public engagement process to gather input about parks, trails and open space. In February 2015, the City Council voted to repurpose Glendale Golf Course and the former Jordan River Par 3 Golf Course. This created an unprecedented opportunity to develop as a community a once-in-a-generation plan for revitalizing and dramatically expanding the parks, trails and open space offerings in Salt Lake City.
Feedback gathered from the public was used to generate proposed language for a bond in the November 2015 elections. In a 10-week timeframe, The Langdon Group was tasked to design a public engagement process, conduct public outreach, implement a series of key stakeholder workshops and public open houses, and tabulate the feedback that would be used to draft the bond.
