Utah Trail Network Master Plan – UDOT

As part of the Utah Trail Network Master Plan, The Langdon Group (TLG) supported the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) in developing and facilitating stakeholder engagement throughout the planning process. Our team worked alongside UDOT and local communities to design an engagement process to gather feedback and ensure that voices from across the state helped shape this connected, people-centered vision.

Announced by Governor Spencer Cox at the Utah Transportation Conference, the plan lays out 2,600 miles of new paved trails and 500 miles of existing trails that will connect 208 cities and towns across the state. Once complete, 95% of Utah residents will live within one mile of the trail systems, which will link neighborhoods, schools, parks, and downtowns, as well as all six national parks, 25 state parks, and 33 universities and colleges.

This collaborative approach played a key role in creating a plan that reflects the needs and aspirations of Utah residents from rural towns to growing metropolitan areas.
