Utah Trail Network Vision Plan Engagement | Utah Dept of Transportation | 2024 – 2025
TLG led the engagement for the Utah Trail Network (UTN) Vision planning effort to support the vision of developing a long-term plan to build a Utah Trail Network to connect Utahns of all ages and abilities to their destinations and communities throughout the state. Eleven hybrid workshops around the state provided participants the opportunity to learn about the UTN process for project selection and guiding principles of the program and gathered input on potential trail network projects for consideration for state prioritization and funding. TLG engaged approximately 400 participants including city and county staff, elected officials, subject area experts, community health, active transportation organizations and partner agencies to provide local and regional input. TLG also led the convening of thirteen focus groups to see how the Utah Trail Network complements other statewide and regional initiatives.

Dianne led the convening of a series of workshops for the newly established Utah Trail Network (UTN). Eight in-person workshops provided participants the opportunity to learn about the UTN process for project selection and guiding principles of the program and gathered input on potential trail network projects for consideration. TLG engaged over 200 participants including city and county staff, elected officials, subject area experts, community health, active transportation organizations and partner agencies to provide local and regional input. TLG analyzed and documented input into an interactive online map and created an executive summary including overarching themes, most frequently mentioned trail projects, and regional specific considerations.
