TLG’s Bryant Kuechle attended and presented at the International Conference on Ecology and Transportation (ICOET) last week in Salt Lake City. ICOET is the foremost interdisciplinary, interagency supported conference addressing the broad range of ecological issues related to transportation systems in all modes. Hundreds of professionals—representing government, Tribal, academic, nongovernmental, and private industry organizations—from the United States and more than 20 countries attended ICOET.

The Langdon Group featured a poster presentation titled, Partnerships and Collaborative Approaches for Improving Transportation Ecology. The health of Idaho’s wildlife and their habitat is critical to both the  Idaho Department of Fish & Game and Idaho Transportation Department. With an interest in taking a fresh look at roles, responsibilities and how to best work together, the two agencies hired TLG to manage and facilitate “world café’ style workshops throughout the state for their staff. The resulting Memorandum of Understanding set forward processes to build and maintain a lasting, productive and efficient relationship. More information about this project can be found on the TLG website.
